Description/Job Summary

Fruit of the Loom, an independent, wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. & leading international basic apparel company, has an immediate opening for Associate Brand Communication Manager at its corporate headquarters in Bowling Green, KY. The Associate Brand Communications Manager is responsible for the coordination of Advertising & PR initiatives for the Fruit of the Loom, Inc. brands that supports the enhancement of the brand(s) image, increases brand awareness/engagement and provides support through advertising, media (traditional and digital), point-of-sale, partnerships and relationship marketing. Responsibilities include managing our consumer-facing content hubs to deepen consumer understanding of and experience with the brand by communicating and engaging more with the consumer.
 

Responsibilities/Duties

Project Management:  Manage the multiple brand communications projects at various stages to a successful and timely execution. Requires strong coordination across the various team to ensure tactics and message are aligned to support the brand effectively. 
  • Assist manager in partnership with the agency and internal departments all Advertising, PR and brand communications initiatives.
  • Develop and manage project calendar
  • Maintain an updated status report on project elements with clear action items and deliverables and follow-up with cross-functional team members and agencies as needed to ensure all project elements are on track
  • Secure appropriate product samples and information for magazines, advertorials and events.
  • In conjunction with manager approve all communication content.
 
Budget/Invoice Reporting: Track and report the budgets delivered to the various agencies.  Input and manage through Oracle all invoices/payments against the media budget.  Validate that invoices received are correct.
Communication/Presentation: Develops and cultivates relationships with stakeholders, specifically within Marketing and other cross-functional teams.
Develops engaging presentations that are communicated internally and externally to customers and media on behalf of the brand and its initiatives in a format that creatively tells the story and communicates an effective message.  Ensures that the messaging is appropriate for the particular audience.
Ability to objectively listen to feedback on solutions from a variety of sources, facilitate meaningful discussion around the feedback and disseminate into revisions to move the project forward.
Strategy: Support development and execution of brand communications strategies, to through a variety of effective brand communication tactics with a focus on all advertising, digital, social and PR plans.
Manage Agency Relationships: Develops and manages effective relationships with the Advertising, PR and Digital agencies and other outside vendors that are employed on specific projects.
Weekly/Monthly Reporting: Develops/coordinates and disseminates necessary reports accurately and in a timely manner.   Tracks and measures metrics that supports the goals and strategic imperatives from the various initiatives and communicates to appropriate management.
 

Required Experience

3 – 5 years of related experience in advertising, marketing, PR, brand communications or brand management

Prior experience with agency management or managing a cross-functional team

Travel is required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Journalism, Communications or other related field of study.
  • Solid understanding of the following areas:Advertising, promotions, public relations, social media and web.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; the ability to work on multiple tasks and projects concurrently
  • Effectively develop and manage agency partner relationships
  • Strong social media management experience a plus
  • Superior attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders and interface with various levels of management.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision making skills
  • Able to keep on top of new media trends and technology.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
