This Industrial Engineer drives industrial engineering projects and initiatives for the facility. Engages in costing and evaluative activities to develop, implement and communicate time, production and efficiency standards. May support the ergonomic programs
and employee process improvement engagement teams.
Develop and conduct work measurement procedures and time and motion studies. Observe and conduct analysis of personnel and work procedures to determine time and motion requirements of job duties.
Analyze work study data and equipment specifications to establish time and production standards. Adjust job specifications and production rates accordingly for incentive paid jobs.
Study the machinery/equipment needed, the sequence of operations to be performed and the flow of materials. Assist in developing and exploring potential floor layouts and designs to improve and facilitate product movement throughout the DC.
Discuss and review improved work flow and efficiency initiatives with managers and employees. Plan training programs to promote efficient personnel utilization and improve work performance. Promote safety within the plant.
0-3 years of related work experience (equivalent work experience is required in lieu of degree)
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a related field or equivalent related work experience required
Professional Engineering certification preferred.
Strong mathematical skills consistent with the engineering profession
Background in statistical and probability analysis.
Ability to estimate production time cost and manning requirements
Ability to analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements and workflows
Knowledge of AutoCAD and strong Microsoft Office skills
