Description/Job Summary

Fruit of the Loom, an independent, wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. & leading international basic apparel company, has an immediate opening for Intern (Instructional Design) at its corporate headquarters in Bowling Green, KY. The Instructional Design Intern will be responsible for the development and implementation of online learning solutions into the people-oriented culture of Fruit of the Loom, Inc. Ensures talent development by utilizing adult learning principles and relevant instructional design practices to design, develop, implement, and evaluate effective online learning (e-learning).


Partners with key organizational stakeholders to develop, deliver, and evaluate online learning solutions that meet the organization’s strategic imperatives and are in alignment with the organization’s core values.

  •  Use adult learning theory and other industry-recognized instructional design practices (ADDIE, SAM, etc.) to develop online training content. A variety of software and hardware tools will be utilized.
  •  Deliver training content to company employees as needed through the use of e-learning or other online mediums (video, audio, etc.).

Evaluate training offerings and internal processes through the use of post-training assessments, interviews, and other data collection techniques to ensure continuous improvement, efficiency, and effectiveness of training programs

Required Experience


Required Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program for instructional design or related discipline.

Must have excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Must have excellent computer/application skills along with an understanding of current e-learning development tools (Articulate Studio, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Lectora, etc.).

Must have a basic understanding of AICC and SCORM standards.
