|Responsible for providing transportation solutions, communicating with multiple service providers and administering direction for operations. Responsibilities include:
|Maintain and update systems, spreadsheets, databases and other applications critical to operational visibility and awareness while ensuring accuracy.
|Create bookings to reserve vessel space, obtain shipping documents, prepare and review required export documents. Validate and approve import pre-shipment documents (SAR) for container utilization, carrier, sailing schedule, ETA and transit. Ensure compliance with Customs authorities and other regulatory bodies.|
|Coordinate with internal departments to keep key personnel informed of shipment status and updates. Assist textile facilities, distribution centers, vendors and customers with shipment tracking.|
|Stay current on Federal and State DOT regulations and US Customs export documentation requirements to maintain compliance.|
|Track freight variances and analyze cost variances versus Routing Guides/budget. Cost management/comparison, to include detail that drove the decision to utilize a carrier(s) in a non-standard capacity.|
1-2 years of work experience in logistics/transportation, supply chain management or a related field.
