Description/Job Summary

The Product Engineering Technician coordinates the collection of data and incorporates information into prints, bills of material, and shop routings to support Customer Service with product customizations including: gymnastics apparatus, mats, padding, basketball structures, and other athletic equipment.  Responsible for making improvements and/or updates to existing designs and development standards that affect product cost, performance, and quality.

Responsibilities/Duties

Support Customer Service and Manufacturing with custom product drawings, bills of material, and routings.
Refine conceptual and manufacturing designs via the use of SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Troubleshoot design and manufacturing related issues.
Revise prints, bills of material and routings as required.
Assist with cost savings, safety and other projects.

Required Experience

  • Previous work experience not required (minimum of 2 years related work experience is required in lieu of an Associate’s degree in related field).
  • Drafting experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent years of experience.
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding and ability to create prints, bills of material, routings, instruction manuals and specification sheets.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are a priority.
  • Ability to solve problems and have a wide degree of creativity.
