This internship is the opportunity to work at the intersection of technology and sports, alongside an experienced and passionate team. As the IT Intern partnering with the Spalding Advanced Concepts Group, you will be a part of a team responsible for developing
innovative products targeting sports players. You will also get the opportunity to shape the look, feel, and personality of interactive, engaging product experiences.
As an IT Intern focused on agile software development, you will support the design, build, test, and maintenance of all the Spalding Brand digital applications. Another important aspect of this role will be to support our ever-evolving digital platforms by
implementing the strategies and leveraging user engagement and player development through the digital products.
Build, test, and maintain enterprise application software
Participate in agile software development process by conduction code reviews, attending planning sessions, and providing input during retrospectives
Learn new technologies, frameworks, tools, design patterns, and best practices
Partner with the Spalding Advanced Concepts Group to understand their digital strategy and transform that strategy into application
Prior software development experience preferred but not required
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field
Knowledge of application development, web development, or software development
Ability to work in a remote work location with little direction
Familiarity with using user data and customer insights to influence design decisions
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organization skills
