Fruit of the Loom, an independent, wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. & leading international basic apparel company, has an immediate opening for a NightShift Supervisor at its Montgomery, AL facility.
Supervises the total process from receiving to warehouse high bay storage and retrieval to ensure accurate and on-time shipments in the most cost effective manner. Manages the daily receiving schedule and communicates with the corporate logistics teams of any
inbound issues and status changes. Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervises the department’s daily activities, monitors daily workflow and establishes priorities. Assigns daily work directions, resolves problems, prepares schedules, sets deadlines to ensure the timely completion of work and disseminates policy to employees.
Collects data required for determining department activities and assists in the coordination of related activities with other departments to ensure efficiency. Reports status of work in progress and problems encountered.
Evaluates current procedures and practices to develop and implement process improvements.
Promotes safety within department.
2-5 years of distribution/warehouse work experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; professional certification in inventory management or distribution management is a plus.
Understanding of work flow processing, inventory control and order fulfillment procedures.
Background in automated inventory control management systems and integration processes. Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign).
Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift.
Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
