This position supports the management of Team brand planning and strategic initiatives and acts as a brand advocate/steward of the business. Identify and execute new growth opportunities. Use market research and sales analysis to provide direction to Merchandising
for development of strategic product lines. Prepare formal marketing brief with recommendations for seasonal product development and customer specific needs. Develop pricing strategies, support sales needs through marketing materials. Initiate research
when needed with MRG to create research to better understand all consumer preferences and general team sporting goods industry trends. Manage promotional agreements.
Product Marketing & Communication: Lead all communication efforts for assigned season, including but not limited to catalogs, advertising and digital platforms.
Product Development Calendar Contribution: Provide direction and support to Merchandising teams on new product initiatives and changes/updates to existing product lines with responsibility over pricing direction.
Customer Service and Sales Support: Work with sales and customer service to communicate product lines and programs, as well as gather key information to improve the line.
Brand Planning and Positioning: Assist and provide point of view on brand messaging and appropriate channel and product expansion.
Marketing Research/Competitive Intelligence: Gather market information and intelligence to report internally to development and sales teams. Collaborate with MRG to initiate and execute market research projects where needed.
Sports & Event Marketing: Contribute to on site activation efforts and trade show booth preparations, as well as attend events and build customer relationships.
Project Management: Lead cross functional projects that align with brand or sales growth initiatives where needed.
1-3 years in marketing or related experience (sales, marketing, research or communication)
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or equivalent related experience. Computer Skills—MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
Ability to work cross functionally with Merchandising, Sales, Finance, etc. in order to gain insights and input for strategic product marketing plans to ensure plans are consistent with market dynamics.
Strong interpersonal skills to build solid relationships with key internal and external customers.
Must demonstrate strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
Ability to deliver effective/persuasive presentation of strategic product marketing plans.
