Field Merchandiser – (FT) Detroit, MI (Territory Spans the general areas of Chesterfield, Shelby TWP, Rochester Hills to the north, Troy to the west and Taylor to the south.)
Merchandiser needed for National Intimate Apparel Brand. Full-time, 40 Hours per week, year-round position available in and around the Detroit, MI area. Job duties include general merchandising, stocking floor, setting up promotional events, providing product education to store associates, and writing marketplace recaps. Department Store Retail background preferred.
Develop professional working relationship with sales associates and all levels of management.
Evaluate floor presentation and prioritize door needs to actively pursue and gain dominant space.
Educate store personnel and consumers on product and promotions.
Communicate white space opportunities, stock outs and other deficiencies to Store Management, Account Managers and Merchandising Managers.
Take a leadership role in the set up and execution of fit events, seminars and promotions including in-store cross promotions and outside organizations.
Detailed knowledge of door's assortment, RTV's and markdowns (fact packets).
Communicate pertinent information in all channels of distribution regarding the competitor’s product, marketing strategies and business as it affects VFB.
Complete all paperwork accurately and in a timely manner (payroll, store visit reports, monthly recaps and expense reports).
Minimum High School diploma or equivalent required.
Must be able to travel daily within region; travel will be reimbursed.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to sit, stand, bend and reach.
Computer / smart phone / smart pad access
Effective verbal and written communication skills required
