Technical Services Analyst at its corporate headquarters in Bowling Green, KY.
This position exists to provide material testing analysis and material specifications support to Product Development This will insure product quality and viability from a material standpoint. This position also works closely with our manufacturing partners to insure the correct material properties are being used in our products.
|Collect and analyze test results of new materials. Review/ confirm and set production specs with suppliers. Review with Manager of Technical Services where discrepancies exist.|
|Review history of production fabrics for spec conformance and help to resolve issues with suppliers.|
|Special projects as required, such as serving as backup for making plates for pad print and processing paperwork for ink and plate orders.|
|Report weekly progress on testing and spec development of new materials.|
|Communicate with Purchasing, Merchandising, and PD Teams in regard to new material status and results.|
Experience in Product Development, Quality, Purchasing, and/or Fabric Manufacturing preferred, but not required.
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience in textiles or apparel.
Good PC skills, Web/PDM, MS Office (Excel, Word, Lotus Notes (or similar email)
Strong organizational and communication skills; written and oral
Self-starter; ability to work with general supervision
Ability to multitask and respond to unexpected urgencies of production or design needs
