Fruit of the Loom, an independent, wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. & leading international basic apparel company, has an immediate opening for a Pilot at its corporate headquarters in Bowling Green, KY.
This position is responsible for piloting aircraft in compliance with all federal, state, local and foreign regulations as well as the policies and procedure specified in the Company’s operations manual. The pilot must act with tact and decorum while ensuring
an efficient and safe operation.
Operate aircraft in a manner that ensures the safety and comfort of all passengers aboard.
Study weather conditions at departure and enroute for intended and alternate destinations.
Comply with schedules and other directives governing aircraft operations.
Prepare flight plans in accordance with federal regulations.
Ensure aircraft is clean and prepared for flight with all necessary provisions; ensure preflight inspections are performed.
Review aircraft weight and balance, and fuel and performance requirements.
Determine flight times and when to delay and cancel flights based on operating conditions.
Coordinate with the first officer for the safe operation of the aircraft.
Coordinate and manage crewmembers assigned to the flight; monitor crew performance, share knowledge and identify potential for upgrades.
Minimum of 2,000 total flight hours
Minimum of 1,500 hours in turbine/jet aircraft
Completion of High School (advanced degree preferred)
FAA Pilot Certification with Airline Transport Rating
Current First or Second FAA medical certificates
Qualified in Citation Excel aircraft preferred but not required
